About The Next Stethoscope

Medicine is taught through textbooks, but it is lived through people. The Next Stethoscope exists to close that gap — to hear medicine not as it is memorized, but as it is experienced, by the doctors, leaders, and healers who practice it.

Each issue of this journal brings together interviews with physicians and leaders whose work sits at the edge of clinical practice and human experience — conversations on connection, resilience, leadership, and what it means to stay human inside systems that often ask us not to be.

This is not a peer-reviewed publication, nor does it claim scientific authority. It is a record of conversation, reprinted from The Next Stethoscope podcast, offered in a format that invites closer reading and reflection.
